discrete mouse scrolling missing in 1.8.9 for macos

As the title says I don't have discrete mouse scrolling on labymod 1.8.9 and I cant turn it on. On my previously installed beta it was activated and 1.8.9 doesnt have this setting by default so I dont know what happend, it could be a bug or usererror. This pretty much means I have to scroll my wheel with crazy speeds and still scroll inaccurately. If I scroll normally nothing happens and it's not my mouses fault because it works on 1.8.9 vanilla and on other clients such as lunar.

    Hey, i don't know what exactly the issue is here. please provide a video demonstration of the issue.
