    Tested in 1.8.9 & 1.20.1 +Vanilla and Fancy theme using a book with a link in singleplayer

    I have tested it on a Server. I I clicked on the link via the chat.

    I wouldn't know what's wrong with it, I don't have a texture pack or anything like that in it.
