Toggle Perspective doesn't work in 1.8.9

For context I am running Fedora Linux 41 (Workstation Edition) with GNOME as my DE.
As the title says it doesn't work on 1.8.9, but does on latest (1.21.4)
Quite a confusing bug, hopefully will be fixed,
I've also found out that binding some specific minecraft features doesn't seem to work with most english charecthers, here is a video: https://youtu.be/X70mv-2UMfM

\Installed Addons: Optifine, Voice Chat, Full Bright, Damage Indicators, Item Physics, Better Perspective, Toggle Sneak, Spotify, Clear Water, Flux, Time Changer and Badges.
